DIRECT ACCESS is a service provided to John Muir Medical to support the treatment and referral of patients with addition or opioid dependency issues. Hospital staff or patients can:

• Schedule an appointment with a physician, and complete patient forms online using our paperless system.
• Begin an SBIRT.
• Speak to an addiction counselor.

Bright Heart Health and John Muir are committed to providing long-term effective care to those with opioid dependency or addiction. Through our partner relationships with BAART and other local treatment providers, we provide a network of providers to ensure appropriate care is received.

Buprenorphine is an opioid medication which was recently developed specifically to help people with opioid dependence. It can be administered safely and legally in a clinical setting by your qualified physician. It helps patients to get transition from full agonist opioids to minimize discomfort and maintain a healthy alternative that is safer to use.

At Bright Heart Health is the first Telemedicine Opioid Treatment Program provided to John Muir Medical patients. Our providers meet with client’s through video-conferencing and eliminating the need to visit a clinic or facility. Telemedicine makes treatment convenient and easily accessible day or night.

Our staff is dedicated to fighting the opioid epidemic. We are physicians, psychologists, therapists, social workers and recovery support professionals who are passionate about helping people to regain power over their lives, find safer medications for pain, and improve health and recover from the devastation of opioid dependence.

We tailor treatment to each patient’s specific needs. We will listen to your needs, examine your medical history, and devise a strategy designed to help you to recover physically, emotionally and mentally so that you can live your life in the healthiest way.
