Todd Magro, MD

Dr. Magro is Board-Certified Psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of general adult and addiction disorders. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee prior to completing residency in Adult Psychiatry and a fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Magro believes that psychiatric and addictive disorders are the result of malfunction of the circuits of the brain due to genetics and life experiences. Therefore, treatment should be multimodal, including medications and non-pharmacological interventions in order to restore functioning to these circuits. His interests including the brain-body connection, including the interaction of pain and physical stress on psychiatric illnesses. Dr. Magro believes in incorporating diet, weight optimization, natural supplements, and relaxation techniques into treatment.
